What are the emerging policies and legislations to regulate the working conditions of DIGITAL LABOUR PLATFORMS workers?

Are recent Courts' rulings filling the void of a legal uncertainty?

How can ILO International Labour Standards provide guidance on the disruptive effects of the digital economy on the current employment model and the substantive rights of digital platform workers?

The three knowledge –sharing event intends to facilitate a debate on the guiding role and effective implementation of the International Labour Standards (ILS) in a fragmented and challenging context for all workers in digital economy.

The online workshop includes a mix of round table, group discussion and peer –to – peer dialogue, with the objective to present and discuss:

  • Updates on Digital labour platform analysis at international level,
  • Emerging policies and legislation at national level ,
  • Court rulings on critical issues that have emerged in litigations, such as, digital workers classification (employee or self-employed or “independent” worker), minimum wages, labour protection, workers’ ratings, collective bargaining agreements.

  • Ministry of Labour and Social Policies
  • Workers and Employers organizations
  • Judges, Lawyers and Academics
