THE JIR Celebrates 

its 65th anniversary




ALERA, Deakin University and Sage recently celebrated the 65th Anniversay of the Journal of Industrial Relations (JIR).


ALERA JIR AWARD

ALERA members, JIR editors and  colleagues recently  celebrated the JIR 65th Anniversary.

This special occasion featured ALERA Life Member Joe Catanzariti AM as the keynote speaker, who shared his wealth of IR experience and insights.

As part of this milestone, JIR announced the winners of two prestigious awards, generously funded by SAGE Publishing:

🏆 The JIR Fran Hayes Award — recognising major contributions to research on equity in the study of industrial relations.  

Congratulations to   Sue Williamson and Linda Colley for their 2023 article, Regulating for gender equality in the Australian Public Service: Extending Dickens’ tripod of regulation. View here

🏆 The JIR Joe Isaac Award — celebrating significant contributions to internationally comparative research in industrial relations.

Congratulations to   Tobias Kalt for his 2022 paper,  Agents of transition or defenders of the status quo? Trade union strategies in green transitions.
